Oh come on is this a fucking joke or what? It's convenient to use bad pictures of the Kings parade but show better pictures of the Blackhawks parade

Kings had 300k at their parade

There is no way the Kings would draw 2 mil
I will defend the number a little. People in LA have jobs. It is hard to get a Monday off work when the parade was announced Saturday. If there was another day they would have got 500,000. While not as stupid as Chicago numbers it was a good showing for a city that doesn't know what hockey is.
Ducks had 15,000 at their rally.

Lol! Is that accurate? That's a pathetic number.

Exactly, Chicago doesn't have any other teams in the state to compete with either in the NHL, it's just them - in California you have Ducks and Sharks fans too so if it was just the Kings in the state it'd be a lot more

The Ducks didn't have a parade - they had a rally in the parking lot at Honda Center - I thought 15,000 was a decent turnout for a parking lot rally. They probably could have gotten another 5,000 or so if they promised a bonfire with the rally.

/Also, look at the Blackhawks season attendance numbers for the year the Ducks won the Cup - nowhere near 15,000

No doubt about that, the Hawks lost a lot of their fan base with just how poorly the organization was run. I mean, they weren't even allowing home games to be televised. Absolutely pathetic.

There were more people on the freeways in LA watching the juice get chased in '94

To be honest at the time I was amazed the Ducks had anything. Where could they possible hold a parade in Anaheim?

The duck loving wife and I went to the Ducks one.
They had free hot dogs and Pepsi
My favorite part was one of theDucks people thanking Pepsi for all the coke.
There were a few other camouflaged kings fans there

My point was more the growth over the last few years.
In 2012 they guess there were 250,000 in LA and we had more time to get off work. It was announced on Sunday for Wednesday.
Lakers draw 2 million for their last parade. It was a longer route. It was not easy to get there yesterday. Construction, street closures and, believe it or not all the local bars are filled with World Cup fans.

I have obtained a photo of the Cup parade in Washington DC in 2063.

It's cool though. When you go to see the Washington Blueberries play football, you can look right out to the ocean from the top of the stadium.
