Sloter ain't done yet - DC. I don't think he will be picked up, but I do think he gets on the Bronco's practice squad.

Done? Who said he was done?

I think its pretty obvious he is most likely ending up on our PS, which was what I was saying all along when everyone else thought he was the next big thing since sliced bread.

Don't get "Not NFL ready and perfect for the practice squad" confused with SLOTER SUCKS and doesn't belong in the NFL.

That's sorta the problem with this place.... You say one thing and people act like you hate the guy or are rooting against him... I am just simply calling for him on the PS as an ideal situation. While a lot of others are over hyping him as NFL ready right now.

I fully think Sloter could have an NFL future... I just don't think he's ready right now.

and your point?

My point is for as much love as he has gotten he wasn't going to help us on our active roster when we can store him on our PS.

Has nothing to do with saying/thinking he will never amount to anything.. I have never once said that.

This Guy is the reason the NFL needs to spend some and try to Develop QB's differently .

Crash- With the way college systems are- I agree. It's hard to have a "minor" league system with football. I think what is missed the most is NFL Europe. Where guys could go overseas in the offseason to a league that had some sort of money and get extra playing time in. All these others leagues don't have the money... It's hard to make another league other then NFL and CFL last really. It's sorta a hard situation.

They tried that with the USFL... Evertytime they get it started, it ends right before the season starts. Not enough money to pay players and strike TV deals.

Even the AFL is practically dead now.

I am the GM for a team in the IFL, and they have become the AFL, and now the IFL is dwindling. probably going to merge with the CIF.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but other teams only have a 24 hour window to put him on their 53 man roster, and then we can sign him to our Practice Squad if that doesn't happen. So we should find out soon enough.

Indoor is not really anyone's "thing" although players do move up from it so it has the purpose. Mostly to CFL though. But it isnt really a great developing league. It's more to stay active.

Nobody is going to claim him. Trust me. Nobody wants a project QB on their active roster that doesn't know the offense yet.

He is PS strictly right now. We're talking about the QB position not special teams depth here.

I honestly don't expect it to happen. I expect him to be signed to our PS where he can get some good work in and be developed. I think he'd make a decent Scout Team QB with TS at #1 and Goofy Giraffe at #2.

Hooray! Sloter signed to the Vikings PS. Now we're stuck with Kyle Orton Jr. Wait, did I say hooray? I meant boo!
