Interesting. I was first team all district center for Lee-Davis, and this describes our game against them. Brandon R. had an outstanding game, but yes macho's 595 all purpose yards really killed it. What highschool did you go to Nick?

Also, Flowers was much better than Macho, both on and off the field. He should have went to school as a specialist, not a corner.

Welcome to the board, Jhalf!

i think their careers pretty much define flowers being better than macho.. flowers has had a much bigger impact in the NFL than macho has

Yeah its easy to see now. However, I am fairly stunned that Macho has basically washed out of the NFL. Like I said, I never thought he was as good as Flowers but I figured Macho could at least make a roster as nickelback. I know Philly didn't really do him any favors playing him at safety but both Washington and Pittsburgh gave him shots at corner and he couldn't hack it. That surprises me

I would have thought that, outside of pure coverage, his resume in the return game would have helped him stick with a squad. Macho seems to lack elite speed, and thus the "shutdown" coverage, which is required of NFL corners, but his run support, experience, return game should have been assets for him. Sometimes the NFL doesn't work out. He was great in Blacksburg though.

I went to Lee-Davis as well. I didn't play until my senior year though (05-06). Came in with no real organized football experience though I understood the game more than most on the team. Climbed up to starting WR and LB then tore my MCL.

I lived with Harver at VT for a year. You came over a few times.
