Carter has potted 79 goals the past two seasons - missing significant time due to injury at the end of the 2010 campaign. He's arguably the best forward on the Flyers, as Koivu is in Minnesota. In my opinion, Carter is the better player, so yes, you can bet on him getting more than 6.

i think they will give him a richards type contract. richards is the better player. carter does have the second longest games played streak in flyers history so i doubt they have a problem signing him long term.

Yeah, with the way he was scoring, he probably would have hit 40 again. I would be thrilled if they gave him Richards type money, but that is unrealistic right now. I'm not saying Carter is worth 6.75, but do you honestly think Koivu is? Just the name of the game sometimes.
