He'll have a full week of practices to gauge where he's at. Sounds like his return is very close though. Friday, maybe Sunday. Can't wait to see what he looks like. With the front office giving him a big 2 year deal, I gotta think he's looking pretty good.

No doubt about it. Team chemistry is always a delicate thing and when you add someone who's used to taking most of the touches you're always taking a chance. Guess we'll see what comes of it...

I hope Kobe waits as long as necessary. I get the feeling he really isn't ready yet.

Kobe has always been a smart basketball player. Hopefully, he is watching the chemistry and ball movement they have and is figuring out how to blend in and enhance want they have going.

D'Antoni's system was running well in New York until 'Melo returned from injury and he started demanding the ball and iso's. I'd like to think Kobe is smarter than that, but we'll see.

That's what concerns me. This team is fun to watch and is overachieving. I hope Kobe isn't rushing back thinking that he can help them take another step up and then has a major setback.

Farmar is going to be out four weeks with that hamstring tear he sustained last night. Now would be a good time for Kobe to show up if he is thinking of returning. We are a little short at the guard spot.

what made it even more likely that he would return soon was team waiving Harris to make room on the roster....

if we get the Kobe who was dunking late in season, it'll be a miracle to say the least. if it's the guy who won't get much lift, then I see him being more of a facilitator/post-up/take it to rack type game. this will be one of his biggest challenges never having incurred a serious injury. I'm anxious to see how he can possibly revamp his game to suit any limitations he may have. If any player can change their game it's him, knowing his arduous work ethic.

You know, Farmar's injury is really going to hurt us because of his spark with energy and he was doing a really great job running the offense. I think he was doing such a good job that I am not sure that if Kobe returns on Friday that the role Farmar had developed into could be filled by an older Kobe. It is more of we shall see for sure.

I hate it when you gotta go through this especially during the middle of the season, but it's still early better now then later. I just hope the injury bug doesn't kill us like it did last season.
