Kobe told Melo he should win a ring. Kobe said he will not recruit Melo in the Off season.

Is he saying that there is no way the Lakers will win a ring or he thinks that Melo would not help the Lakers win a ring? Or does he not want to have wrestling matches over catching the inbound pass?

if kobe wont say it... i will. Melo will probably never win a championship as the lead dog. he may come get one way late in his career when he is a role player. he is to selfish and doesnt play defense. dude wont win a title. kobe shouldnt recurit him. i dont think their games would compliment each other.. and i think you could possibly get an alpha dog fight going.
