Kobasew should have his own thread

He's quickly become one of my favorite players on the team. Love the name, love the fact that he's only paying for $550k, and love the fact he's had 2 game winning goals in his 1st 2 games as a Penguin.

I will also add that I was a firm believer that the Pens needed a guy who could put back rebounds & score off deflections. Kobasew has done just that,

I really like the Jeffrey - Sutter - Kobasew line. 3 different styles with those 3 players. Opposing defenses really need to be mindful of everything when those 3 are on the ice.

It is amazing how such an under the radar signing can make our ill feelings about the 3rd line coming into the season feel so much better.

All are super smart that's the unifying characteristic, it's the type of line the Red Wings would throw out there as a third line, I like it. I'd like to see the Pens move away from 'physical' as the default for a third liner, and more towards 'hockey sense.'

LOL...As long as he plays well with Sutter I am happy. Whereas Staal played well with Cooke and Kennedy lets hope Kobasew, Sutter, Jeffrey/Bennett or Jokinen play well.

But like above I like having Jeffrey with them he looks good there. And if Bennett sticks that means the Penguins can save some cap space when the time comes by waiving Jokinen.
