While you don't need a superstar at QB, you do need to have one that is at least competent. If we landed Payton 4 years ago, the results would have been different as Peyton is a difference maker and raises the play of all around him. Would we have won a SB with him? Probably not. But we would have been competing for a playoff spot every year. Until we cat a QB that is at least competent, we will continue to struggle. It is appearing more and more that thisxqb is not on our roster. Oh, and going after the scrub FAs next year (Fitzpatrick, hoyer, etc) is more of the same. Those guys are journeymen QBs and are no better that what we have.
