Hate it that Griff got injured, but it is what it is.

FWIW, I have never thought Cousins showed us that he was anything more than a backup. He is certainly good and has had some bright moments, sure. But he's also had some pretty crappy moments.

But let's not kid ourselves, pre-season doesn't count. A win versus the worst team in football... Well that doesn't really stand for much either IMO. We have got 4 tough teams coming up over the next month, so we'll see what he's made of. I hope he makes me eat crow.

Also... Never cheer for an injury. That is pretty lame.

lol @ Raid. Shark Kirk gives us the best chance to WIN. It was the only way he sees the field. The organization could not play Kirk b/c of RG3 hype and what we gave up to get him in the draft.

Well, and this just my opinion. Because you appear to be happy Griff was injured and to take it a step further since you said an injury was the only way Cuz could get it. You were probably rooting for Griff to get injured.

I'm a Skins fan, have been for 42 years and played football myself from age 10 on into jr coll. I understand the next man up mentality. As well as the "time to move on with Player Y since Player X is injured" mindset. And the fact that an injury to one player most certainly means an opportunity for another.

None of that though means that I want to see any player get seriously injured. Its simply a fact of playing football at any level of play, but particularly at such a high and competitive level as the NFL.

Look, Cousins played great today, but let's not pretend it was up against Richard Sherman and the Seahawks.
I am not wishing failure on Cousins. Actually it's quite the contrary. I am just tempering my expectations. I think he will play well...won't be spectacular, won't suck... Somewhere in between.

Once again, hope I'm wrong. Hope he kills it. Hope he is the next freakin Joe Montana like everyone else seems to think he is.

I also understand the next player up mentality. But when you invest what we invested in for RG3 the best player doesn't always see the field. IMO KC is the best QB for this team.

I think because griff has been such a cancerous primedinna headache, at least fir me I was releaved to see Kirk in the game and I finally felt like I could get behind the team and give my full support. Not rooting for injury but elated to see Kirk in the game.
