again dean , trubisky , kizer , beathard , mohames , peterman all have had issues as rookies

watson played well but couldnt stay on the field

that is 1 and 6 for rookie starters

that means playing a rookie most likely means taking a step back

its already been proven as soon as defense get a good read on colt and the team hes playing with those stats go to shit. Not the case with Kirk

Can you show your work as to how you came to that conclusion.

And yes, Kirk is a better QB than Colt far as QB attributes go. How much better I'm not sure except to say Cuz has a stronger arm. Where Kirk's real advantage over McCoy is though is Kirk's ability to stay injury free. Or Colt's inability to stay injury free. However you wanna look at it.

Seriously, how do you feel about kirk? Should he be signed to the richest deal in the NFL?

Just take a second and think about how good he could be with a healthy Oline and receivers who could catch and hold on to the ball, as well as a defense

Oh, I have no better option. I want him signed

And for the record, I have said for a while.. Bruce is looking for any reason NOT to sign Cousins long term because doing so would basically be admitting he was wrong and Shanahan was right.

That is NOT going to happen short of Kirk having carried the team deep into the playoffs. As that is no longer a possibility, Kirk is no longer a viable option.

Probably true and if so its another rebuild and another 20 years without a competent qb

Give me an top flight defense or whatever you're referencing, dominating OL or whatever you're referencing and receivers who can catch/hold onto the ball and an average QB and I'll bet that I'll win more games than I lose.

I know that this is Kirk Cousins central, but come on man, we are witnessing this all around the NFL (Minnesota, Dallas with zeke, L.A Rams, Seattle and others)

SN: I'm not kicking Kirk here, but think about it, you're asking for what every team wants and the ONLY excuse that exists in the NFL is....there are NO excuses.

Ill just say this I've watched this team too many years with bad qb play and I didnt say dominate Oline I said healthy, but yes you're right with all of the above you probably can win more than you lose, with an average qb. I on the other hand believe Kirk could do much more with it

At least now we can get the guys that are going to need surgeries taken care of. Try again next season. Dammit!

C'mon who honestly believes that without a star QB you're in rebuild mode? Anyone? Really?

By that logic, you could in theory have a superstar QB, suck elsewhere, and you'd be set. Games are won and loss at the line of scrimmage, always have , always will. Give me a dominating OL, and a top flight Defensive front 7 and those two things alone makes below average QB's look competent. (again Not talking about Kirk, shame that I have to keep saying this though)

OK, I agree with you that Kirk could do much more with it, but so could a bunch of guys. Kirk doesn't own the patent on competence or to play it the way others feel about him a patent on damn near superstardom in this offense.

Imagine Kirk being resigned, maybe he goes on to win a SB or two, retires and Gruden looking for that replacement. I'll bet 10 Billion dollars, at that time Gruden won't fold his tent and say as too many here are doing, "well without Kirk, I'm finished."
