Belichek did what he does to everyone. He takes away what you to best. He made Cousin's check the ball down. Meanwhile Cook had 84 yards on 9 carries. Coach Flip thought he could force NE's hand, he was wrong.

As a certified KC nut hugger I would still have kept him, especially if my choice was to give up two resources and pay almost as much money for Smith instead.

I would love it if both the Vikings and us make the play-offs and have to face one another, just to see if there will be people hoping that Kirk plays well and lose. Maybe they will be hoping that he wins, just to prove some unknown point, but if that's the case, @dad will have to put together a blue ribbon commission that reviews and revokes "Die-hard" status for all of them., where the ultimate punishment is this:

If we are NE game, it changed on consecutive no calls in the deep right end zone when both were obvious PI against NE.

That being said, KC was not sharp and I don’t understand the Vikings play calling.

Do they? The Vikings have better receivers and corners. The Skins have a vastly better OL and a better DL.

The Redskins have better pass catchers this season than they had last season and a much better run game.

I can answer that question for them Hell no. The question is why? I honestly dont know as I dont follow them closely.

I will answer their issue. They have literally no run game and their defense is not performing as well as it did last season. They also have a QB in his first season in the offense while playing a first place schedule.

Maybe it's because there's just too much attention being put upon QB's and not enough on the team that he's dependent on.

There are a lot of reasons:
Tougher schedule
New QB
New OC
Three Olineman hurt
Cook missed half the year
Three missed FGs in 1st GB game
Thielen fumble and Diggs stopping on a route by NO
Belicheck was better than Flip and Cousin's today
Cousin's wasn't good against Buffalo
Bears beat the crap out of Cousin's

Sometimes going 13-3 means everything going right, schedule, bounces, etc.

Buffalo - bad loss, Cousin's was bad
Rams - Vikes were competitive but Rams were better
NO - two TOs I mentioned killed the Vikes
Bears - beat up a bad Minnesotal Oline
NE- BB took advantage of the line also, Vikes were running well but Flip insisted on passing and played right into BBs hands

Life in the NFL - things change dramatically from season to season. Look at how many playoff teams from last season likely won't make it - Jags, Falcons, Bills, Titans & quite possibly Panthers, Eagles & Vikings. Injuries, being a target for other teams & others factors contribute to all of this.

The Vikings issues go well beyond Cousins. For me - again - I don't like to go back & drag up all of this crap. You can't undo the past. Cousins has his share of issues but also some strengths. Smith has more issues & now may not come back or may come back in diminished form. Doesn't matter - the team needs to focus on what they can do moving fwd. Ditto for the Vikings and every other NFL team. If they waste their team worrying over past mistakes then they are doomed.

Vikings fans have to be disappointed now. They were Super Bowl contenders in the off season. Still a lot of season left but with the Packers and Lions a mess the Vikings should be a hell of a lot better.

Right on. No one was saying he was the best, but at least give us someone equal, we said he was better than most. That has yet to happen.

Calls and Non Calls in this game were horrible. Belichick threw the challenge on the run that was stopped a yard from the line of scrimmage and lost the challenge when the ref said he wasn't going to review it. He knew the call was wrong but didn't want to embarass his crew. This crew sucks. How about Hogan being thrown to the ground while being tackled by the face mask?..No call......It just goes on and on. This crew has the least defensive calls of all crews.
