Lions receive the only 'A' in Mel Kiper's 2013 NFL draft re-grade

We were the only team in the league to receive an A by Kiper. Take it for what it's worth, but it still reflects the good job the front office did this past year, if nothing else.

Now that I think we have some better coaches surrounding this talent, it can only help improve them. Let's hope the Dolphins don't snag Xanders and we retain him for at least another year or more.

But we aren't for sure. That's the thing. And I read an article that even questioned how much input he really had in Denver.

Now I'm not saying he didn't have a part in the entire process, but word is the final say came down to mcdaniels and Elway. But I believe the organization used his sabermetric-like input in making the decisions. That's where I believe he was put to good use here. He analyzed players and the organization used that to make the final decision.

Would he have chosen the same players in the end? Not sure we'll ever know. But I do know I want him around this organization.
