Per Teh Blog, the Kings are switching radio stations from 1150 to 790. Being in Riversippi this is welcomed news because the signal from 1150 would fade out after 9pm or so, and I'd miss all the postgame & KingsTalk after games. It'll be "nice" to hear all the LGK.com members pose rather retarded questions to Nick every night again!!

Never noticed the 9pm time frame, I do know that the signal starts to fade really bad about a mile past Gypsum, where our house is adjacent to and in the hills (possibly the interference?). If I needed to head to say my mom's in Corona, no matter the time I lose the signal altogether between Gypsum and Green River.

Dude, I tune in for that alone. Some of the questions these mooks ask just begs the question "how big a dummy are you?". And don't even get me started on the suggestions these guys make from line up changes to roster changes.

Stanley Cup champions L.A. Kings announce new radio home - LA Times

One thing that I found interesting is that they got $250 million from Fox for 10 years. That seems like a drop in the bucket when compared to the Dodgers and the Lakers. The Kings have won more in recent history than the other 2 combined.

True as that may be about the Kings winning more than the Lakers and Dodgers TV deals are made on a team winning basis. They're made on a advertisement sales basis. Lets face it. The Dodgers and Lakers fan base is a lot bigger than the Kings fan base. Yeah we're just as rabid as any fans of those teams. There are just more of them and they'll buy more products they see advertised during games. Or at least that's the premise of the advertisers who buy ad time during games. The bigger your viewing audience the more you can charge for ads. It's all based on television ratings.
