the best deals are the ones that help both teams. Bs needed cap space and Kings needs a LW (and to shake up the roster). The rumor I am hearing is "conditional pick/prospect". If that is true I think it depends on Sturm passing a physical and his playing shape and maybe re-signing in LA

Sturm was rumored to be on waivers soon. Then the Isles would have claimed him (they are too close to the floor). Rumored that there were 3 teams that wanted him and Sturm picked LA because he knows Dean from SJ.

Dont have to dump Wheeler or Ryder either... I'd still throw Wheeler out there for bait, not a fan. I like Ryder though, he can be a sniper at times.

This trade happened again. Maybe. Contingent on whether Sturm can pass a physical or not. And apparently it's not just a "turn your head and cough" physical.

"Usually, when you say a physical, it's a formality. But this one is real," Kings general manager Dean Lombardi said of the final step before the deal is approved. "It's why there's an extended time period on this one. There's a significant hurdle here. You've got to look at everything, like an MRI and a strength test, and everything else.

"He's got to be put through the rigors. So he's flying in here Sunday"
