Think he is overrated? He was one I certainly didn't want to see go at the time but overall the ROI has been worth it in my opinion.

Still the guy I least wanted in that trade, I think the ROI has been about as expected, but it would've still been a very good trade for Philadelphia without him, I just think the Rangers did it to get the deal done

Do you think it would be better to leave Rua in the OF and put Gallo at 1st instead of the other way around?
Gallo's arm would be good in the OF. Either way would work for me. I wonder which would make the better first-baseman. I am ready for both of them to start every day next year if not sooner.

Gallo's length makes him the better 1b.

DDJ in AAA is awful, might as well just scratch him off that list.
He served his purpose but his arm is average and he just was not a smart player in some of the things he did at the plate and on the bases. Now he could be useful in the future off the bench but not as a starter.

Getting them to eat Harrison's $$ in that deal was a slick move by JD.

I don't need to scratch him off any list, b/c at that point, you would have to decide are Cordell or Brinson ready or do you need to try and get something out of him, I still think he can be a productive OFer, he just needs to cut down on the strikeouts and baserunning errors, both of which I think came from trying to hard

He still has some time to figure it out

We got what we could out of him. Try to build some value in AAA for him and then trade him.
That would be a good idea as part of a package if we ever try to dump some salary/wasteoids.

Oh OK, I agree. At first I thought you were saying he was the guy you wanted least as in the guy you were most comfortable giving up.

It was and I feel bad for Harrison as he was going to be a integral part of our SP. But that is a delicate position.

I think it cost us an extra prospect for them to do so though. I hope financially we don't have to do that anymore.

Could easily see hem starting as our CF next season till Brinson gets called up after 6-8 weeks.

Guaranteed to have the lead when they leave. A sweep would be awesome though.
Sure would be. I hope Holland is dealing and this offense is still clicking. We will all be very interested in what the lineup is tomorrow.

I think they were all prospects we can afford to give up given the return.

Just gotta sell DH to Choo. Good luck.
It is actually for his best interest considering the issues he has had this year. And Banister just has to lay down the law. He still is getting paid the big money regardless.

RAJ wanted Maz badly...glad they didn't do that
I think of the players that were available we kept the ones we needed to keep. To me mix and match it any other way would not have been in our best interest.

Yes, but pride is an issue with these guys and especially Choo. With that said, with his muscle strain issues that could definitely be an selling point. I'd imagine he'd still get a start or two per week in the OF.
