I cannot imagine that, short of another CY season, Timmeh can match that contract. King has never had the epicly bad season that Timmeh has had.

If Timmeh has a 3.5 ERA season while winning 15 games and is generally the BEASTthat he was, I can see 7/140 being about his ceiling. But I would doubt he is able to get those years. Expect more 5/100 or 5/110.

i could see him trying to get something similar if he has a great season. wasnt there that report that after his 2nd cy, he wanted 23,000,000.01 to be the highest paid pitcher or something like that?

either way, this takes the M's out of the race for him next year.

This is great news that King Felix won't hit the free agent market. If he did, the Dodgers would've surely signed him.

I don't see any team offering Timmy more than a 3 year deal...the 2010 weirdness and this past season, coupled with the decline in his fastball velocity is being looked at as a "I told you so" about his delivery and small frame.

I don't see him back with the Giants after this year regardless. No way Sabean offers 5-7 years for him even if he wins the CY again...and if he pitches like crap...he's out of here as well...

Not sure i follow...no one will offer more than 3, so why would sabean have to offer 5-7?

If he wins the cy again, he'll get 5-7 from someone, probably not us. If he has a decent yr maybe we keep him. If he sucks it up again who knows. Maybe then he will consider the Eckersley idea and move to the pen
