Anyone notice that Kevin Williams (DT, ex-Vikings) was in for a visit yesterday?

I have not heard anything regarding a contract offer though. Does anyone have any information?

It was such a gorgeous day in the NW today with the temps in the 80's. I think most are just zonked from whatever they did outdoors this afternoon.

Williams would be a nice veteran depth addition. His sack numbers aren't what they used to be, but he's terrific against the run and he's only missed 5 games total in his 11 years with Minnesota.

No news of a signing, but he would be a good depth addition at the right price.

The punishment for stealing Hutchinson continues... Someone needs to go to the Vikings board and ask if they've learned there lesson yet... :suds:

I think he'd be a solid addition to the tackle rotation for a season. The only real obstacle is the contract. We don't have the cap space to give him a lot of money, but if he signs a relatively cheap 1-year deal like Bennett did before last season, it would be fine. He made $7 million last year and unless he's eager enough to play for a winner before he retires that he's willing to take much less to come here, I don't know if this is going to go beyond the "kicking the tires" stage. He's 34 and nearing the end of his career, so it comes down to whether he's looking to play for a winner before he retires or looking for one last decent payday.
