He didnt do well this week after being so good on the road. Has he fallen off no.1 status now and going through an adjustment period? Well he was doing well until that 6th inning. Idk rays now want to win I guess. what was disturbing is Houston has been said to kill lefties yet they couldn't hit Bedard.

Every pitcher goes through down periods, even Kershaw.

I am a little worried about the high walk totals, but I would not read too much into this unless it continues for 3-4 more starts. He has been too good for too long.

Benching him against the Tigers this week might not be the worst thing, but don't let 2 bad starts (that weren't even that bad) change your opinion of a guy who has been a stud all season. The Astros simply left him in too long yesterday. The 3 hits, intentional BB and the ER in the 8th hurt his otherwise solid ratios.
