As an analyst. I watched a little of him last night and I will say it was VERY good. if he can provide that through the playoffs of what refs are thinking when they make calls I can say it might be the most brilliant thing TSN has ever done.

Im anxiously awaiting to see his breakdown during the series.

That is a smart move by TSN.

NBC and ESPN started using Mike Perierra(sp?), ex-head of NFL officials the past two seasons during breaks and reviews as to whether or not he thought a call would be upheld, or overturned.

It was interesting to hear his take on what the officials in the game were looking for.

what surprised me about Kerry is speaking ability. It was very TV professional. likes hes been doing it for 20 years. Ive always hated him as a Ref but this is different.

actually this is not bad. hes explaining alot of what the refs do. this was not as good but what I liked yesterday was when he talked about why some NON calls occured.

I saw a bit of it last night too. I agree that its a great idea to have a respected former official as an analyst to give their point of view. And he doesn't just say the ref was right and give explanations. If he thought the wrong call was made, he's not afraid to say so and explain why.

Have Leafs fans forgiven Kerry Fraser for the Gretzky high-stick that wasn't in '93?

Have Flames fans forgiven him for the bad call on Iginla in Game 7 of the Finals?

I don't think they'll ever forget about that until they get that close to the Cup again. That could take a while.
