The Seahawks would rather have Clinton McDonald than him. He's obviously terrible. Stop. Just stop it right now. It's in no way a "solid move." It's insulting.

He is going to be a nickleback behind Hall and Clements. He was a starter for Seattle. He has not lived up to his 1st round draft pick status, and sometimes teams that expect certain things from a player based on draft slotting will just cut ties with them and try to strengthen another area of their team, in this case, the Seahawks needed more DL depth.

He is not going to be Johnathan Joseph, but he is not being expected to be. He will be a serviceable nickle and that is it. If you evaluate it like that, it was a good signing. However, you expect every signing to be a home run. If it is not blockbuster, it sucks. Basically, you are f'n ridiculous, plain and simple.

All i've heard from Seattle fans thus far is "undersized, no ball skills, gets beat deep routinely" and the fact they got anything in return for Jennings was Christmas come early. In other words he should fit right in around here...Who Dey...

I was the biggest Palmer fan, but now that he is gone I can find plenty to complain about him. Nothing like a woman scorned which is what Seattle fans are since he never lived up to his first round billing.

True true. Just regurgitating what was being thrown around the Seahawks boards. Don't much about the kid other than he went to The "U"

So are you saying you act like a scorned woman when talking about Palmer?

Your irrational comments about him are finally beginning to make sense...

If he's not good enough for Seattle then why is he good enough for us?

Because we do not plan on using him as a #1 CB, we plan on using him as a nickle who covers the fast underneath guy, not the tall vertical threat.

You couldn't make less sense if you tried.

LMAO...You are just stretching now. You have nothing as a comeback, so in order to show your genuine ignorance, you attempted a witty comeback, which by the way failed miserably. It is okay though. We all know you took the short bus man. We will be sure to wear kids gloves around you.

I'm pretty sure what Kramer is saying is if he isn't good enough to be the nickel corner in Seattle, why should he be such an upgrade here.

Atleast I think thats what he means.......

Because Seattle didn't want to use a 1st round pick they invested at Nickle corner. Also, Jennings is a speed CB, and Carrol prefers bigger guys who are more physical at the LOS for his coverage schemes. Jennings was already a bad fit as soon as Carrol was hired. How many teams just cut bait with draft picks instead of moving them around? They'd rather make it look like the guy was a complete failure rather than move them to a more suitable position. I guess it's their way of "saving" face?

We gave up a guy who was never going to dress for us to get a guy who provides us depth at a position of need. Considering that he's not a bad fit for this defense at the nickle spot, it's a good trade.

If he doesn't work out, we lost nothing. We lost a guy who never was going to see the light of day here unless there are/were/is 2 or 3 major injuries at the DT position.

It is a good thing you were able to come up with something to help bail Kramer out. Kramer had no idea what he was trying to say, just to try and get under my skin. That is mostly what he is good for. He had no idea how to respond until you came up with a good excuse for him, and he is like awesome...my out.

Kramer is too ignorant to come up with that on his own.

Kind of like Orien Harris for Brian Leonard...although I think McDonald has much more upside than Harris ever did.

Who got the better of that trade?

Brian Leonard traded from St. Louis Rams to Cincinnati Bengals for Orien Harris - ESPN

Exactly. Jennings may not have been a horrible corner overall, but as a 1st round draft pick, he failed to live up to expectations. Many teams in this instance will simply cut a guy and move on because they don't want to move their 1st round pick to a 4th or 5th round position (i.e. nickle/dime CB).

We had an excess of DT's and needed a 3rd/4th CB. Jennings will fill that very well as he will match up against smaller/quick type slot WR's. His troubles as a #1 have been more geared towards the bigger stronger WR's, which Hall and Clements will be taking on.

Bottom line -- he can't be any worse than what we have here -- unless, of course, Jones is suddenly healthy.....
