Jennings is a good player. Not an a pro but he will be a really good 3rd CB. Started quite a few games. McDonald wasn't making this team anyways. And Jennings is much better than Trent or any other CB we have on our team.

Seattle is blasting Kelly Jennings.....Im not sure he would be better than Trent...ALso Adam Jones may be cut if he is going to be the 3rd corner and play 500 snaps

Solid pickup if for no other reason than they took an area where they had too many guys and used that to upgrade an area that needed depth. Guys are going to be dinged up, and having 4 CB's is a must.
Jones is going on the PUP list, so he's going to miss the first 6 weeks of the season, and even then...with his neck, better to be safe and have another CB ready just in case something happens and he ends up missing the entire year.
Also, heard that the Mays trade was for a 2013 7th round draft pick. If that is true, say what you want about Mays, but that is a damn steal.

Mays deal has escalators based on percentage of snaps played. We can owe up to a 3rd rounder.
Goes to show what SF thought of him. They're betting on him not getting many snaps in Cincinnati. <----*EDIT* Scratch this.

Make sense though. If he sucks and doesn't play, then we're only out a 7th. If he actually improves, and plays well, he'll play more, which makes him worth a 3rd or 4th rounder.

From what Seattle fans are saying, Jennings shouldn't be in the NFL. McDonald was playing well, too. I guess we'll have to see how it fans out...Another case of Zimmer getting a high draft pick with talent and trying to turn him around.

Marvin said McDonald wouldn't have dressed most games anyways and from what I've heard on twitter the 8 DL we keep will be Peko, Atkins, Sims, Dunlap, Johnson, Geathers, Rucker and Fanene. McDonald wouldn't have made any difference on this team because he wouldn't have dressed. I'd rather have Shirley anyways. Jennings is too small to guard bigger WR's but he is built perfectly for covering speed guys which we need terribly because none of our corners are fast.

He's a nickle guy with Jones likely headed to the PUP for the first 6 weeks. Solid move to get someone who will at least contribute for someone who was not even going to dress.

Jennings is better than anyone else the Bengals currently have slated to play the nickle role with Jones on PUP.
