Legal or illegal, he is smart enough to know the side affects. His brother went down for drugs. Chandler is in his prime, about to get a big contract from someone and it going for another SB. Synthetic weed can wait.

I hope you're right? Tired of Boston athletes wasting their lives.

It will be interesting to see if the NFL hands down punishment for this infraction. Being banned from participation in the AFC Championship and/or the Super Bowl (if they get that far) is a real possibility. BB was contemplating trying to resign three defensive stars (Jones, Mayo and Collins) to long term contracts during this off season without breaking the bank. Jones's drug incident may make that easier financially. I could see him offering big deals to Mayo and Collins and trying to low ball Jones.

Hell no to a big contract for Mayo. Time to say bye. Need to sign Hightower.

Love having Mayo on the team, but no way in hell he should get a big contract.

Mayo is on IR. Sounds like a vet minimum with incentives for next season if he comes back.

I misspoke in my earlier message. The three players BB is looking to re sign are Hightower, Collins and Jones. If he can low ball Jones, it might be easier to sign the other two. Anyway, I always felt Easley, if healthy, might be better suited to DE than DT. At 285, he's a little light for DT and he should be quick enough to be a force at DE.

Don't need Jones IMO. We have Shered and Flowers. Might be able to get some cheaper to come in. I am fine with Jones not coming back and I think BB is too.

Sheard will certainly be a solid replacement for Jones to team up with Ninkovich. I am not so sure about Flowers. He was DNP coach's decision several times this season and ended up on IR. True, he had an impressive college resume but I recall another Arkansas Razorback (Jake Bequette) who arrived with similar fanfare and left the stage quickly, after attempts to make the active roster at both DE and TE. There is also Geneo Grissom, but he is more of a special teamer and, besides, ultimately I like him at LB to take Mayo's spot.
