Added to the list...............
Guess I shouldn't make a smart assed comment without adding something so.......oh hell I have nothing. This year Miller future I still say Bernard.
Guilt by association it shall be than...too bad.
LOL, treff I got a question for you. In your most objective opinion, which QB do you see having the better fantasy numbers for the next 3 years? Luck or Kaepernick?
you never met John Elway...Here's my knee-jerk answer. Luck. He's in a weaker division and Indy's run game is average at best. He'll have to throw. Kaps is talented but he also seems to be cocky, and cocky players don't seem to last long in the NFL.
I have not been around long enough.
cocky players don't seem to last long in the NFL
Lol..just a little friendly-sometimes not so friendly rivalry between me and the lower appendage

Met Elway the offseason after TD's 2000yd season..guy was a complete DBDidn't like Elway with the whole "don't want to be drafted by Baltimore." But I'll say this much for Elway, he was cocky with the NFL and the media off the field early on. But when he was on the field he was all business.
I did say it was a knee jerk response. Surprised no one brought up Owens or Chad Johnson. I guess I hope guys like that fail. I really can't say for sure who will do better.
I have two very good reasons...#1. All but BJGE were 2nd yr or rookies last year #2 Marvin Lewis isn't exactly an offensive genius.
The Bengals took Dalton to the playoffs, not the other way around, let's just get that clear for starters. He also has played like total shit in the playoffs the past 2 seasons, as well. I don't think he's a bad QB, but I don't think he has the potential Tennehill has. Maybe it's just me, but I just don't see this guy being that great of a QB. The Bengals are absolutely loaded and should've gone further than they have the past 2 years. Perhaps Bernard is just the missing piece, which is very possible. I just watch him play against good defenses and he gets nothing on them. I know, he's young, and could improve, but he just seems like more of a game manager than a gamebreaker at QB.
That said, Bernard could very well end up being a PPR monster with all of the weapons the Bengals have that defenses have to be cognizant of. I just really like Miller for similar reasoning, and he is also bigger and just as explosive as Bernard.
Because Tannehill WAS on a talent drained team. It looks as if ownership down in MIA actually gives a shit now, as they've done a solid job surrounding him with some new talent (Wallace, Gibson when healthy, Keller), while also putting together a sneaky good defense. Cincy has better talent still, but the gap is WAY smaller now. Also, and to go back to the OP, I think Miller is a better RB than Bernard. He's a physical freak who is incredibly explosive. Bernard is also an explosive playmaker, but he's got a huge challenge in being a main bellcow sort of RB because of his small frame and short arms. He'll need another RB to supplement him, Miller won't. I could very well see Miller having a Doug Martin-esque season this year, to be honest. I'd compare those two in style in skillset, while Bernard reminds me more of a Reggie Bush or Darren Sproles - guys who will make plays and get catches, but you have to worry about consistent results. That is just my opinion, so don't take it as gospel. That's just how I see it right now.
Bernard - 5'9 210
Miller - 5'11 218
Rice - 5'8 212
Martin 5'9 215
I'd say Bernard is built more like Rice and Martin than the taller Miller is. Bernard has actually been compared to Ray Rice a lot. Not sure how he can't be a bell cow.
I'm not talking about height and weight, I'm talking about skillset and frame. Martin and Miller could both easily play at 225, but I'd find it hard to see Bernard doing that. They have longer arms and larger frames. I'm not saying Bernard is a weak runner by any means, he just isn't as powerful as Miller and Martin in that regard. He tends to not get too many yards after contact. It seems like Cincy favors featuring a strong power running game as opposed to a wide open running game that is always dumping off to the RB. That can inhibit Bernard's potential, IMO. Miller and Martin are ideal for their systems, while Bernard is an excellent complement to his. As I said, this is just my opinion, but I'm basing it off of what I've seen.
The WC scheme Cincy uses will probably get Bernard 50-60 catches a year. This year, Miller is a better bet. Long term I'd say Bernard will probably be one of the top in the league as far as total yards. Bernard can also return kicks and punts.
Ohh, so can Miller. As a Buckeye fan, I know that for sure. I personally think both will end up being solid backs, but I think Miller is going to be a more complete back. Of course, that could end up with durability issues (not a strong point for him), so there's a point in Bernard's favor. As far as Bernard's receiving total, where are you gonna find all of those catches with guys like Green, Eifert, Gresham, Sanu, Hawkins, etc. on the team? Has any Bengals RB ever had even close to that many catches? They've run the WC for 2 years now and haven't even come remotely close to that.
1. Miller isn't a great receiving threat. That was 1 knock on him coming out of college.
2. Sanu is a guy who hasn't proven anything. I'm not sure he can be a #2 WR. He doesn't have good speed or separation.
3. Hawkins is never going to be a feature player. He is too small and will be used much more situational next year IMO.
4. The reason no Bengals RB has had anywhere near that total is because they have never had a pass catching RB. BJGE can't and Scott, who was supposed to be that guy kept getting hurt and wasn't any good.
