I had zero issues with Jay's play calling Monday. Guys were open, and Smith either missed them, didn't see them, or got killed. What I'm pissed at Jay about right now is his inability to get the team ready to play week in and week out.

Play-calling is not the issue...it is an issue.

The biggest issue is a lack of accountability, preparation, and sense of duty. This all falls on the coddling little coach.

I will stick with what I have said for a while...Gruden needs to go. The question then becomes, who do we hire, and I do not have an answer for that. I was for Kyle Shanahan for years, and I simply do not have another coach in mind.

I'd settle for accountability and preparation. And yes, that does fall on the HC. Or at the very least it starts with him. Clearly the translation is getting lost or not even sent. And while some players have tried taking a mantle of leadership. I have to say after watching that game Monday night. That's not working either or maybe they're fakin the funk as well.

We also lack an urgency when playing from behind. The same thing happened with Kirk as well, but at least with Kirk. Plays were called that appeared to be designed to bring us back. Why were we still running the ball down 40-13?

I say this with the caveat off not knowing how many times Smith failed to pull the trigger with his scary ass, but......Jay's play calling has sucked swollen blue whale nuts in both the Skins losses. He has no sense of urgency about him even when on the short end of the3 stick deep into the 2nd half.

I thought his play calling was horrible vs. the colts. Had no problem Monday. Threw on 1st down to open the game. Not sure if the QB draw was designed, but it worked. Redzone has been much better. Less fades. Peterson has helped that of course.

Jay's offense works. He can call a good game when he wants to. Has a Superbowl ring as part of that Tampa staff. Made Andy Dalton, but I question his ability to get the most out of his players week in and week out.

Is he Norv 2? Do the players fear him. He needs to call out more players the way he did RG3 that one year.

Gibbs offense my have been ancient, but he went to the playoffs twice, one a playoff game, and they played hard every week. Don't let the old man, awkward laugh fool you. Those guys feared Gibbs 1 and 2.

I was wondering that also on Monday. Did Gruden just give up?
