That he is smart enough to realize that the Redskins are a clusterfuck and his souls is worth more than dealing with this team. Again Dean you miss the point, Baker did pretty good for us, but as usual we are more concerned with what guys have done on other teams.

Chris Baker signed a three year, $15.75 million contract with the Buccaneers. $6 million is fully guaranteed upon signing and another $3 million will become guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2018 league year.

Terrell McClain signed a four year, $21 million contract with the Redskins. McClain received a $5 million signing bonus and $10.5 million in guarantees.

Stacy McGee signed a five year, $25 million contract with the Redskins. McGee’s contract has $9 million in guarantees including a $4 million signing bonus.

So basically Baker got $6M in guaranteed money.... MCClain got 10.5M and McGhee got $9M

Like i said we have a long standing tradition of overpaying other teams players, and lowballing our own.

The reason why our two DT's got more money b/c they have more upside. Plus I heard there were 5 teams interested in Baker and he still signed a very average deal so what does that say about the player? He couldn't get the money that Mclain and Mcgee got b/c he doesn't have the upside.

Sure, now we are a clusterfuck but one of the best young Fa Wr chose to sign with us. That makes sense. lol Plus we should get a run stuffer in Logan or hankins which are top 10 in the league. Why are FA players coming here if we are in disarray?

Just cut the shit out with Front Office being in shambles. enough already.

How is it PROVEN that they have more upside?? Aside from your opinion. Neither of them have taken a snap for OUR team and I would think if they had so much upside, their own teams would have at least tried to resign them.

And dude we fired our GM two days after the combine, couldnt get a decent DC to even interview with the team and our starting QB doesnt want to be here... But you dont think there is any disarray?? We are seriously considering making our NEW GM a guy who's job the past 13 years has consisted of overhyping draft picks and you think this is actually a good idea??

Let me say this once more, since it appears that some are just reaching the same conclusion that I arrived at a year ago. The organization royally screwed up last year. That poor decision ultimately led us to where we are today which is renting our QB. Unfortunately for us the market and future contracts set a bar in terms of what QB's should get that put Kirk and our front office in no mans land, to wit; having a QB that we either overpaid or risked alienating by not being willing to meet his asking price. In all honesty, hoping to get it done is a far cry from actually getting it done.

So, here we are, still hoping with the added caveat that Cousins may have already concluded that he's out of here. The only questions now are: Are we really willing to take a chance at losing him without compensation a season from now?.......OR.........Do we go with plan B, whatever that happens to be? Sure anything can change, but hell I can win the powerball that I never waste money on.

Our best bet, right now is to begin shopping him, but that too comes with limitations, the biggest being that where he's wanted and wants to be happens to be the last place on earth where Snyder wants him to go. By now, you all know my plan, I say do what it takes to trade him to Cleveland , then do what it takes to get our QB. (My plan)

Its proven b/c Baker didn't even get close to the gmoney that Mcgee or Mclain got. Plus supposedly Baker had more teams interested in him which should of drived the price up. That is proof right there. Why would Pryor come here if he thought KC was going to get traded??

A lot of decent DC's interview with us. They chose to go in house. KC is a total prick if he turns down a decent LTD from this team. Even if he waits until 2018 and chooses the 49ers he will never win there.

SO wait... because we chose to overpay some one elses free agents, that automatically makes them better than Baker??

Alot of decent DC's interviewed with this team... and none of them wanted the job. We went in house because we had no other option.

And we havent made Kirk a decent offer, and if we do and he still decides he wants out that would tell any sane person that Kirk decided he was better off getting out of DC.

Also if Kirk ends up in SF, he will be alot closer to winning than he would be staying in DC.

Yes b/c they got more money. Why wouldn't Baker's agent use the two contracts when negoating with TB? b/c he new he couldn't get that type of money b/c he is not the better player.

Bullshit. The former Cle coach I forgot his name wanted the job. Bradley followed his buddy. and I forgot the other one.

Yes KC would want out b/c he wants to chase the money. If the skins offered 25m annually with 70mg why is that not a fair offer? For a guy who really hasn't won anything. SF is closer to winning than Washington? Now you really have a screw loose.

San Francisco is an unmitigated disaster and I would happily tell any of their fans that. Their free agent signings are laughable.

Hey Sty I can't remember the site but the Skins are getting trade offers for KC. The asking price has been to high. Yes you are right about Danny. He is dead set on not trade trading him to SF. However things will get interesting come draft day. By then there could be some teams still looking for a QB. If no trade and no LTD by July 15 we stand a very good chance of losing KC after next season. Some say we can transition tag on KC next yr but what if a team out bids us. I mean it always possible.

Thanks, if you happen to come across the site please do post it. We can transition tag him again next year, however that means there will be a team that offers him some exorbitant numbers knowing that Snyder won't match. That means he's gone! For us the clock's ticking and other teams are going to do what they must to settle the position for themselves. I'm not willing to wait to settle our QB position because there are too many variables at play. Cleveland could offer us a real nice package for Kirk AND sign him long term without missing a beat. To me that's the move, waiting hurts ONLY us.

How did we overpay for McGee and McClain? Isn't that the going rate for a DT in the NFL? You always use that for QBs Shark.

Again, I don't have the formulas for all NFL players; however, I know what McGee being in versus being out meant to Oakland's run D. I don't have that info on McClain or Baker. I do know Baker was part of a DL that stopped nobody last season.

We gave starter money to marginal rotation players from other teams. Like we always do, we give good money to free agents from other teams, and low ball or dont even offer money to our own players. These guys are not upgrades over what we had, and Baker went to Tampa for less than what we are paying these two. We paid more money for guys of similar talent, and we have fans saying what a great move it was. I just dont see it.

it would not surprise me if the reason Baker was not made an offer probably had less to do with his on field production and more to do with his relationship with Joe Barry.

even tho barry is gone ... it sends a message to the players not to talk shit about the coaches ?

just speculation on my part ... but only thing i can think of why they would not even bother to make him an offer.

Money is usually a pretty good indicator of demand. Perhaps, McClain and McGee are more impressive to the professionals than the fans.

I haven't heard anybody say it was a great move. I have heard people bash the moves and I have seen people say we will see.

Shark, you are the one who continually talks about going rates for starting QBs and justifies inferior QBs being the highest paid players in the entire league. Now you say being among the lowest paid starters on the DL, and yes they will be starters, is an overpay.

Mehh. Whatever. I understand his point a little bit, but that's a bunch o' bullshit if the money is crazy and he knows it. Who the hell does he think he is?? He think he can pick the owner too? What about your coaches and teammates... you want to play for them... does that account for something??

This stuff is making me weary. Just trade this fucking clown already .... he doesn't want to be a Skin... just looking for excuses now to make him look a little better when he turns down a big $$ deal. Our organization isn't doing itself any favors, but he has all of you guys fooled. If everything was perfect he would still be screwing us.

Funny that you mention the trade. One of the big rumors making the rounds is that one of the main reasons that SM was fired was that he tried to trade Cousins recently. He also wanted to sign him to an extension last offseason when the price tag would have been considerably cheaper.

If both of these are accurate it just sounds like SM was being reasonable & actually trying to get something done. Compare that with Snyder and Allen who seem to want to make this last forever & appear to be willing to go into the season with Cousins still on the tag (which sounds like the worst of all alternatives). For God's sake Snyder just do something already with this guy! I hope that I am 100% wrong & they extend Cousins by July but why in the hell should we trust these clowns to do this given the current atmosphere?

Grading The Washington Redskins Free Agent Moves So Far

One media members grades of the Skins FA moves thus far. He has high praise for the pickups of Pryor and Swearinger but really does not like the DL pickups. The whole thing is TBD pending other moves and whatever happens with Cousins. For Dean to be basically throwing a party with the moves thus far is both laughable and pretty much in poor taste.
