Mehh. Whatever. I understand his point a little bit, but that's a bunch o' bullshit if the money is crazy and he knows it. Who the hell does he think he is?? He think he can pick the owner too? What about your coaches and teammates... you want to play for them... does that account for something??

This stuff is making me weary. Just trade this fucking clown already .... he doesn't want to be a Skin... just looking for excuses now to make him look a little better when he turns down a big $$ deal. Our organization isn't doing itself any favors, but he has all of you guys fooled. If everything was perfect he would still be screwing us.

That's exactly what he is trying to get done. He wants to be traded. We should seriously consider it. Next year we get nothing when he walks.

Heh. This made me laugh. From the comments section in the link Country posted.

No dog in this fight, but I love to hear this out of Cousins. While it’s looking like McCloughan was drinking, it was not affecting him professionally and the players realize that the Washington front office did him dirty.

Bruce Allen is a turd. As one unnamed position coach was quoted on twitter by Mike Wise, “Bruce Allen brushes his teeth with Coors Light” so firing McCloughan for abusing alcohol is pretty rich.

Exactly, when the season ends his time with this team ends too. He walks and we get nothing. Every knows he want's out of here, and now he's pulling the 'not signing as long as BA is there'... we all know BA aint goin anywhere... it's his ticket out of here without looking like an idiot for turning down the bank if they even offer it to him. Gotta be on the side of trading him now for something,,, anything,,, probably even have a high draft pick next year from sucking and another rebuilding process begins yet again. All because they couldn't believe in him after only setting record after record after record after record. Ill be shaking my head for a long time to come. Not sure I even want him to play here this year only to watch him continually grow and get better just knowing another team will enjoy his highest level of football maturity yet to come.

Totally agree, we should trade. I believe we are getting offers for KC and the FO is rejecting these offers b/c they feel KC will eventually sign LTD.

Still find it funny that fans are mad at Cousins because the team fucked this whole thing up. We had a Shitty QB and the team bent over backwards to try and make things work. They fired one coach because the QB didnt like him, and are now willing to hamstring another coach by getting rid of a good QB. And they have convinced the fan base that the QB is actually the one to blame.

I don't think anyone is really sure who is to blame...probably plenty to go around everywhere.

We did kinda screwed it up by not extending a nice offer in the 20+mill range last year. But so what? As many of us have stated here before, he hadn't earned that big LTD that he was soooo seeking last year. He had one pretty good (not great) season under his belt. How many times has this team gotten totally screwed with long term deals and guaranteed $$$ Shark?? Is he taking that personal? I think so. I think he is coming off like a whiny spoiled little pussy that has a larger ego than most of you give him credit for. Probably his agent and others putting that "you've been disrespected" bullshit in his head. That's total garbage. Its business man. Just quit with this sense of entitlement when you haven't actually done much in the NFL to date.

Now...I agree with you IF the FO is still trying to low ball the hell out of him. I don't agree with it, but send him a deal in the $$25 million range. Why not? What other choice do we have? I'll say it again. I think we will make him a great offer before its all said and done...and I think he will still walk.

As far as the RG3 thing goes...we had ALOT invested in him. Any coach and organization would try their best to make that work considering what we gave up to get him. KC was the #2 the day he was drafted. He should feel fortunate that the football gods made RG3 a total bust or he would have been holding a clipboard for the last 4-5 years and be signing a league minimum contract.

You are right it is business. So again how does Kirk get to be the bad guy for doing what every other businessman does? He wants the best deal possible. And I disagree when people say he hasnt earned it or didnt earn it last year. Because as you have pointed out, how many times has this team willingly screwed themselves giving big money to other teams Free Agents. Hell Baker is another example of that, we just paid McGhee and McClain pretty well for average production.... on other teams. This team has a long standing tradition of paying for other peoples players and lowballing its own. So personally I cant blame Kirk for wanting out.

As for the RG3 thing, I get that they should have tried everything possible to make it work considering what we gave up to get him. But the team should be past that. Problem is, I dont think they are. I think paying Kirk would be just another reminder of just how badly they failed on that one, and I do think ego on both sides has alot to do with this. For fuck sake, we just fired the GM who wanted to sign Kirk long term. I think Dan and Bruce thought Kirk would fail in 2015, and they would be justified in keeping Griffin one more season. When he didnt, they had no idea what to do and now they are letting pride take the front role over common sense.

Mcghee and McClain have a lot more upside than Baker. I would take that trade off any day. You had just been proven wrong that no Fa want to come here. Everyone came here on a great deal for the team. Plus you have no idea want Bakers gmoney was.

What if KC gets offered 25m per year with the right g money and he turns it down? What do you say about him then?

That he is smart enough to realize that the Redskins are a clusterfuck and his souls is worth more than dealing with this team. Again Dean you miss the point, Baker did pretty good for us, but as usual we are more concerned with what guys have done on other teams.

Chris Baker signed a three year, $15.75 million contract with the Buccaneers. $6 million is fully guaranteed upon signing and another $3 million will become guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2018 league year.

Terrell McClain signed a four year, $21 million contract with the Redskins. McClain received a $5 million signing bonus and $10.5 million in guarantees.

Stacy McGee signed a five year, $25 million contract with the Redskins. McGee’s contract has $9 million in guarantees including a $4 million signing bonus.

So basically Baker got $6M in guaranteed money.... MCClain got 10.5M and McGhee got $9M

Like i said we have a long standing tradition of overpaying other teams players, and lowballing our own.
