and it was clocked at 87 MPH. If you were unaware, the Cubs drafted him in the 43rd round in 2009 as a pitcher.

I bet he would have no problem transitioning back into baseball. It would probably take him a few weeks to get his accuracy back to where it was, since he's been throwing an odd-shaped ball instead of a small sphere.

Could he be the next Bo? Obviously not as good but playing both pro sports in his career? I bet if he wanted to he could

Not as QB and P. At least, his career wouldn't be very long. Throwing hard year-round probably isn't good for a shoulder.

He disappointed. Only an 87?? He's definitely in the top 2/3 in the league as having the strongest arm. He should have ripped the catchers mit with an 102MPH fastball.

He's out of practice, but yeah, eventhough he threw harder than Russell Wilson, I'm not impressed with an 87 mph pitch (see Tim Lincecum).

You guys act like he wound up and pitch full strength. He didn't throw as hard as he could by any means and clocked 87mph.

The funny thing was that the Mariners and their fans claimed it was 98 MPH. Which I guess pretty much sums up Seattle fans, exaggerate, exaggerate, exaggerate.

They can't exaggerate this!

The way things are going for the Giants these days, I've got to think they'd consider bringing him in...

I hope he didn't bounce it in there.
