not that he is a replacement but this pretty much is a sign of the end of Markovs careen I would guess he retires shortly from injury. watch Kaberle get his shot back now that hes owned by the leafs agai.... er Habs

I think Kaberle and Subban will be fun hockey to watch. Thomas might be amped at the oppurtunity. A better chance to prove something to the B's as well, maybe.

Thats an awful contract to take on. Hell, they could have had Paul Martin for 750k more. For free!!! Not even a bag of pucks.

In the short term it should help, if only the power play and help getting Yannick Weber out of the lineup.

I have a hard time thinking this move has nothing to do with Markov. I assume things are not going well.

youll love Luongo Comeds

Price may never be as good as Luongo but he is young, maturing, and seems to be ideal mentally for playing in Montreal. Of course this is a contract year so who knows what Price will want. I am sure Rinne's contract will be brought up in negotiations.
Second, how much have you watched Subban this season? He is sophomore slumping big time. In doing so he is pressing more and being pesty more. With the strong finish he had last year playing along side of Gill I cannot figure out why they didnt keep that pairing together. I also think the loss of Muller is affecting him.

Oh well, I guess its a done deal though. Heading to NHL.com to get my Habs Louongo jersey.

THAT's what I'm talkin' about!

also, speaking of the mental fortitude required to play infront of the Habs crowd,
how do you think Kaberle will do when the boo-birds inevitably target him after about a week?

On signing Kaberle to $12.75 million, three-year contract, Rutherford said, "I should have known better."
