Alex Ovechkin and the Caps take on.... (not even among the top 20 scorers, nevermind)

Two young centers Johansson and Sta... (nevermind, injured)

Two of the best scoring defensem... (both are out? christ!)

Alright... Two hockey teams meet to play against one another with nothing appreciable at stake. (good enough)

I just...I just don't want an injury. Jeffrey was moved from the IR, which is nice...but Despres was put on it. Fleury needs to have the game of his life, that's all I gotta say.

This game could be season defining. Or at least season changing. I have this distinct feeling I'll be let down, but hoping I won't.

Now, before the game, a short break to rant. I have NEVER been more pissed off with the Pens fan base (the base that is evident to me, i.e. on twitter) than I was today. It started with Mark Madden going off about the Sid issue saying that he thinks Sid is cleared but choosing to sit out. Pens nation took that and ran with it, calling out Sid merely because there had yet to be an update in his condition. It was like the whole world felt this sense of entitlement to his information on a daily basis. Just because it had been a few weeks without an update, everyone and their brother jumped to these conclusions that Sid was a whimp and was just mentally weak, worried about getting hurt again, blah blah blah. ARE YOU KIDDING ME (I fear I'll be saying that again soon)? This twitter/instant information generation can't stand going a few days without having a new update on a players injury. People were calling for his ImPact results like they had a right to know, merely because they claim to be a fan. Are you serious? This crap is the stuff that drives away players...if there was ever a guy to NOT doubt in this type of situation it's Sid. He wouldn't miss a game unless he thought there was significant danger.
