Some have been bragging up the Patriot defense as of late and how they will be able to handle Peyton and this offense. The last 5 games of the season they played Cleveland, Miami, Buffalo, Baltimore, and Indy...Indy is the only offense that is above 22nd in points per game by the offense. In all those games the Patriots averaged holding those teams to 1 point below their average for the season. Now if we include 6 weeks back which would be the Houston game then that all get's blown up since they were 31st in scoring this year and scored 14 points above their average. For the Broncos that would mean then holding them to 37 points. I think I could be happy with a 37 point day by the Bronco offense!
Now for the Bronco defense they have held San Diego 8 points below their average, Oakland 6 points, Houston 2 points, San Diego 2 points above their average, and Tennessee 5 points above their average. That is the last 5 for us. So defensively this team has finally started finding their groove. I know Harris is obviously out but in comes Champ. He said I think yesterday that he is no longer on a pitch count and is expected to play the full game.
