Aaron Donald and Johnny Manziel had the exact same 40 time at the combine: 4.68.

I really like Donald ... I hope the recent hype wears off before the draft and we find a way to get him late 1st

That to me would be an ideal situation ...... but as of now ... He might not even fall to 16

I wouldn't mind making a trade to get him late 1st early 2nd but I think he's a reach at 16.

Yeah that's where he is IMO late first early 2nd ..... I don't want to reach for any player especially in a draft this deep

I guess it all depends on the person

Like last year ... I loved the Frederick pick .... most hated it ... thought he was taken to high.

I guess just a matter of individual preference and how you value a player

I just think it's funny that Donald is a reach at 16 but not 20 something.
If he's a player and won't be there in the next round then I hardly call 10 slots a reach on a guy who hasn't taken an NFL snap. Who knows what any of these guys will do?

Well if you have kept off with my post ( no reason you should have) I've always had him as an early 2nd (top 10 of the 2nd)

I don't buy 100% into the combine because it is only potential .... and you still have to mix that with coaching team and game tape.

So to me at best ... the combine can only raise a guy 10-15 spots. Which is why I have him bottom 1st early 2nd. And I still think some teams with pass on him because of his height.

Now if I had him as a late first.. to start with ... those 10-15 spots might have made him worth the 16th pick ... but I didn't have him that high.

That's just me personally .... Everyone has their own opinion

I think if you are sold on him as a player then the reach aspect doesn't enter into the equation.
Seattle woulda been laughed outta the room IF they had taken Russell in the 1st round. That laughing woulda stopped 8 weeks into his rookie season.


What made the Landry group so good at finding football players was they knew what the hell they were doing.....with jerry and his band of yes men, it more the flip a coin mindset and hope like hell


I say this cause I see multiple DT's that can come in and help this team and if I'm taking one at 16 it's because I KNOW this guy will be special

I do to .... but this is why I say "this draft" you dont have to reach on a player

Different year different draft different story

At 16 .... we should have 4-5 guys on our board that come in day one and help wether it's D-line or safety....

If a must have guy ( as our scouts see it) has been taken .... moves down 4-5 spots Grab an extra 3rd "in this draft" I do it ALL DAY LONG

So many holes on this team ... the cap ... this draft being deep .... My feeling is no ONE player makes or breaks a team

I've said from the start that we need 4 contributors from this draft. As deep as this draft seems to be, I'd expect a pro bowl type pick at 16. That shouldn't be hard when you consider 3 QB's and 3 wides will certainly be taken b4 16
