Yep I go Greinke too. It was just funny the first 3 I read all picked a different guy lolI'd still go with Greinke.
#1 in WAR, #1 in ERA, #1 in WHIP, #1 in ERA+
Both Greinke and Arrieta had historically great years(top 10 seasons in the last 100 years in ERA+)
Greinke's was slightly more great though. Top 10 in WHIP in the last 100 years, top 15 in ERA the last 100 years. There's really nothing to suggest Arrieta had a better season than Greinke IMO. But I wouldn't fault the voters if they got caught up in Arrieta's historical close to the season.
No they won't. Ballots are due before the playoffs begin.Things will be a little clearer here after the Pirates win tonight.

No good luckie to you either! At least it'll be sweet to beat the Dodgers and go on to the WS w/ the Pirates then. All 3 NL Cy pitchers going down at the hands of the hardest working blue collar team in the NL I mean.
No Good Luckie to any of them.

Isn't the first half part of 2015 as well? Or is the CY just a partial-season award?Arrieta has had an era lower than any in the history of baseball in the second half.
If they are not crunching numbers, they will vote Arrieta.
Good luck with that lol

Either way it's for sure going to be the greatest runner up finisher ever
Honestly that's one of the only other seasons, that came to mind but I don't think even that year was as good as either of these guys
yeah, just saying, the big memory was a historical second half, that will sway some voters. The other thing is Grienke and Kershaw splitting their votes. And he still couldn't beat Greinke in ERA for the season...that's how great Greinke's season was.
