Just promote Giles already

Our biggest problem is obviously our bullpen. Adams has been improving lately, and a bullpen of Paps, Adams, Bastardo, Diekman, Hollands, Giles, and (I guess) Manship has a chance of being pretty good. He's 23 in AAA, it's not like he's some 19 year old dominating A ball. He deserves the chance to show what he's got.

He's only pitched a couple games in AAA , but wow, you're right he dominated at Reading this year. This guy could be a huge help to the team

it would be great if giles came up. however, i don't see it happening anytime soon. iron pigs have been using defratus to close and he has been his usual inconsistent self...one day good, next day not so good. as a matter of fact, giles has been at lehigh since May 9th and he only has worked 4 innings! saving giles for what? or why does he need to be broken in at AAA? haven't we seen enough of the defratusrosenbergaumont shuttle?

true. good point. he just pitched a perfect 8th inning again. so now his era is 1.80. a little weird though, he has now worked 5 innings in AAA and has only struck-out 2.

he walks the first 2 batters, but gets out of it. strikes out the last 2 guys. 1st AAA save for giles. he was topping out at 96 & 97 mph.

Minor leagues are good about that. You can just google Lehigh Valley Ironpigs or Reading Phils and there is a place to follow along with the game on their site. It comes in handy when you're wondering whether Tyson Gillies batting average is slightly above or below .200. (at the moment it is above .200-he must be on a hot streak)
