AB isn’t even practicing yet. Even if active, likely not conditioned without practice.

Gronk didn’t practice today (though they fully expect him to play).

I don't think AB really needs practice to be effective. He knows the routes. But I thought he was practicing, guess not.

I am still hesitant on not using AB since you know the Patriots will try and stop Evans

why do u assume its evans. Evans has consistently been the guy most shut down, or not fed by the bucs

Well it seems like every team tries to stop Evans when the Buccs play so that should free up AB. Doesn't matter. I started Mixon and he got just under 18 points

Yeah youre right. I guess for me i question whether its shutting down evans, or just his lack of useage. Seems like bradt has godwin as his top, gronk gets his obligatory targets, the rbs divide up their touches, then ab/evans/remaining tight ends get gheirs. Evans increased redzone and deep shots. Basically useage vs getting shut down for me.

Regardless glad u started mixon, obv ab can outscore him but mixon has that floor.

I think Brady himself "shuts" Evans down as well. I mean you can tell how Evans is feeling after every play regardless if he gets the ball or not. Brady doesn't do that to receivers who act like babies. So yeah, it's probably a combo of both Brady and the opposition trying to "shut Evans" down

Now the debate boils down to:

Lockett
Thielen

Bench:

AB
TJ Hockenson
Deebo
Cooper

Mixon was in as my FLEX so that's not an option anymore

I’d be putting serious effort into trading Ekeler and a WR (any one of them) for Dalvin Cook…maybe Aaron Jones.

The headache for these WR is too much.

evans and godwin have the same targets so not sure where this shutting down is coming from

Well factoring in last year. And the type of routes run. And yes you can pull the basic box score and see that evans had more targets than godwin last year overall, averaged less per game, and had 4 games without godwin.

so far this year, they are posting identical stats - targets, yds/rec, TDs per game avgs - Godwin will always be the more consistent one, but it doesn't appear that defenses are keying in on Godwin or Evans....or Gronk for that matter so far either
