Just curious! I what order would Tavon Austin and Cordarelle Patterson get drafted in the NFL if they where in this year's draft class. I am talking about the actual NFL draft. What order would they come off the board if you threw them in with Watkins, Evans, Cooks, Beckam and so on?

Austin, Watkins, Patterson... but could very easily see Watkins and Austin flipped.

Watkins would easily be my #1. Big time man crush on him.

I would at least take Watkins and Evans before Austin. Probably Patterson too. I'm not saying that a small WR can't be good...just wouldn't touch that possibility with a high pick. Frankly, I was surprised that the Rams took Austin that quickly last year. I'm not digging it.

Guess a question I should have asked was. . Is this knowing what we know now about them, or is this as they were coming out of college? Knowing now what I know they would be Patterson, Watkins Austin.

With my uninformed answer, i would say patterson, watkins, austin...

As i have stated, i dont watch college football, so i really dont have a good answer, but with 3 pure talents, i would always go height first... But with that logic, Evans should have gone before watkins, so i dont know how valid of an answer i gave...

I think Patterson would have gone around the same time as Watkins and Evans (top 10) and then Austin would have fallen back a little and been drafted top 20, with the outside chance someone would get him in top 15. But considering just when they came out of college, Patterson would probably be drafted around where he actually went - end of first round.

Way too many athletic freaks that don't pan out at WR, and Patterson was as raw as they come when he was drafted. I don't see too many other teams willing to take that gamble any earlier. Of course, knowing what we know now, he'd be a top 10 easy, maybe even top 5.

Austin had a big game last year against the colts. he has major upside, the problem is he's not the go-to guy or has not been established as it but yeah Watkins first though.

Watkins would still be first, I do believe Austin would still go very high and Patterson still near the end of the 1st.
I'm really hoping I can land both Patterson and T.Austin this year. If Austin was really overwhelmed his first year, which happens...perhaps he could have a Danny Amendola like season in STL this time around.

An Amendola with one major added benifit - freaky blazing 4.3 speed and unseen cutting ability. Now that's either a very scary or a very pleasant thought depending on if he is on your team or your competitors!

Bradford does not force the ball to his receivers, that is why when Bradford was healthy Austin didnt do much. He started to develop a rapport with Amendola then he gets hurt and traded. Even the titans had this issue under Fisher. VY or Collins never had a big receiver they particularly threw to. So until Bradford starts targeting Austin more, he's not going to have enough big games like the colts unless they are playing from behind like the falcons game last year. And, well, I don't see the rams getting blown out in any game until week 8.

Brees I respect your opinion but feel Austin just wasn't on the field enough due to the lack of knowing the playbook. It had been said he has a much better grasp of the playbook now so i am very optimistic about him.

spot on with your assessment of Tavon's rookie season Foot. don't know where to go/be/line up, don't get on the field.

Just about every team treats their rookies that way, since it is so important for all 11 to know their role.
Also, a great reason why it is hard to rely on rookies, especially in the beginning of the season.

Last year's draft was thought to be bad at the time so its probably:

Watkins, Evans (top 10)
Austin, Beckham, Cooks (top 20)
Patterson, Benjamin, Lee, Matthews (1st-2nd)

I personally think Evans is a bit overrated, though
