Freddy Galvis moves into the SS spot left by Rollins until our own prospect appears in 2016. Nobody has stated anything about a return for the Phillies. I guess right now it is just a salary dump.

this is what we all wanted. All the hitting core should be gone. They're careers aren't over, they're just -over- here in Philly. Man I will miss Rollins. He talked the talked and walked the walked. but its time to move on. Howard Utley Ruiz, you're next.

Not likely, the Dodgers still have Juan Uribe. Seager will probably spend another year in the minors. Although the Dodgers front office is talking about starting Joc Pederson in CF so who knows.

I agree. I'll miss Rollins. He still had some fuel left in the tank and he'll help the Dodgers for sure.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. Uribe, 36 next March, averaged .290 with .330 OBP the last 2 years. Some guys just keep hitting.

Yo I'm like heartbroken over this. It's like breaking up with someone you been with for years. You both knew it was over a long time ago, but neither would pull the trigger. Even though his production was down, he still brought it on defense. He will always be my favorite Phillie. It was time.....it was time. I might be cool when Hamels Howard Utley and Ruiz are gone.

Ah shit!!!! Who I'm kidding. I'm gonna be a wreck. A sad wreck.

Technically speaking, we just got worse. JRol batted .243 with 17 home runs, 55 RBIs and 28 stolen bases. Who can fill the void in 2015? Galvis? Of course winter talks have a way to go. But think about it.

You are right jvett technically. And Four4four, it is a sad day when a productive, long career is in its twilight and coming to a close. It is inevitable in sports but it doesn't make it any easier.

Heard that the Philies are getting two A level pitchers back for Rollins trade. Also Phillies are giving the Dodgers an undisclosed amount of cash to subsidize Rollins payroll.

It looks like they got pitchers Zach Eflin and Tom Windle. Eflin was actually the Padres first round draft pick in 2012. Windle was the Dodgers 2nd round pick in 2013. They could have done worse. They are going to need to stockpile some pitching in anticipation of the big Hamels blockbuster which appears imminent.

Wait, why do the Dodgers have to give the Phillies cash? Don't they just pay Rollins directly now that he is on their team?

Well I am glad we got some fairly decent young pitchers to add to our growing lineup of pitchers as Hamels is probably going to be gone soon.

Great time to trade Rollins. Getting a couple prospects was great. I was growing weary of the swing on the 1st pitch stuff.
