In all seriousness. JDR.

He got screwed after going 12-4 in 2016. He''s not the best HC but he is a solid one and he turned us around pretty quickly. He just needs an OC and QB coach to work with Trubisky.

You guys have a solid defense but need to add some offensive talent to help fast forward Trubisky's development. He struggled and that was no surprise but I saw him flash some potential when I watched Bears games.

He could be next season's Goff. Or watered down version of Goff.

You guys aren't that far away from being a respectable team. You aren't the fucking Browns. They are a dumpster fire.

And the Bears will continue to suck.

McDaniels did not have player acquisition control in Denver. Like many teams, there was a GM that made the picks and signings and the head coach gets blamed fora team that can't win.

Bill Parcells said it best when he was the HC of the Patriots. "If you want me to cook the dinner, I have to shop for ingredients."

McDaniels term at Denver was not successful, but he never blamed anyone but himself. He came back to New England and has two more SB Rings. How many rings do the rest of the clowns have in the Bears VW?

I like McDaniels a lot. However, he personally took the responsibility (at that time, the credit) for trading 3 picks to get Tebow.

McDaniels failure in Denver was not due to coaching ability, but rather his conceited/arrogant attitude. However, I'm willing to bet he'd change a lot if he'd go back and I am confident he will be a stud HC.

Although, he did make a HUGE personnel move in mortgaging 3 picks for Tebow and drove Cutler out. Which resulted in a rotating door of QB's until Peyton arrived. Not that Cutler would have been great. However, that put that franchise in a terrible position. Having to rebuild everything, when they were considered ready to contend.

The arrow is pointing up for this team anyway. I think DeFilippo or Schurmur would also make good hires. I prefer McDaniels. However, I have fears he would not want to keep Vic Fangio onto coach the defense.

Oh, and most coaches do not have "player accusation control". Not everyone is New England, with a walking god for a HC. lol

I wondered about JDR myself, but it doesn't sound like he has much desire to coach next year.

McDaniels will win a Super Bowl somewhere within the next 5 years. Hope it's here.

That's a bold prediction. I respectfully disagree.

I am always wary of New England players and coaches. There is no real way to gauge their success until they hop off of Bellicheck and Brady's coattails. The only evidence we have of that for McDaniels was an unmitigated disaster.

He's in the same boat as Harbaugh for me. They are both so fucking unlikable, it's hard to root for them.

Denver's players at that time said that they were never more prepared in their football life, than when they played for McDaniels. His problems were on an interpersonal level, and it created friction. If you remember correctly, he started 6-0 in Denver with Orton before it all fell apart.

Brady cannot stop glowing about the guy, and Belichick cannot stop recommending him as a future HC. He views McDaniels like Parcells once viewed himself.

It's staggeringly similar, as to how BB and McDaniels both failed their first HC gigs as well. Both were consensus football geniuses, but were conceited/arrogant and thought they were god's gift to football. Failed due to their inflated sense of self-worth.

Both were labeled as guys who could not relate to players, and their mentors took them back in. Parcells took BB back, and BB took McDaniel's back.

BB was humbled by his initial experience in Cleveland, learned from his mistakes and attacked his next HC opportunity in New England with a re-newed approach.

Who better to have mentoring you than the guy who lived your EXACT life 20 years prior, and became the GOAT head coach of this league (IMHO).

I think McDaniels understands his mistakes, and would change a lot if he could go back. I would be a fool to predict he becomes the next BB, as so much has to go right for that to happen and it's impossible to tell if he's THAT intelligent. However, I am quite, quite confident that this guy is going to have a good amount of success in this league.

This is a hill I am willing to die on. Josh McDaniels will be a smashing success as a HC in the National Football League.
