Raiders just cut him.
Is he worth a shot with Crawford out now?

Probably not. His knee is apparently the reason Raiders cut him

the only way we sign a guy like that is if we cut a player and use the salary saved

Santana Moss has said he's willing to return punts.

I'd rather go with Moss.

we have the solution on the team

Just reminds you of how far Banks fell. A few years back you could have argued that he was the team MVP. Now it appears as if nobody wants him. I know that he is small, but you figure someone would give him a shot - oh well maybe he completely lost it.

Think I read somewhere that he's involved with a big group r*pe case at Kansas State.

Plus, he was always getting in trouble off field. Getting stabbed, always putting himself in bad spots.

Former Vandy Football Player, Brayndywine Native Brandon Banks Indicted for r*pe « CBS DC

You sure that you are not getting him confused with Brandon Banks from Vanderbilt? See the attached link. The situation just seems to similar to this one. I have not heard anything in that regard to Banks recently. Just sounds like at his size with even a hint of trouble or attitude nobody is going to take a chance.

I'm fine with Moss returning punts. The difference in the best and worst returners in the league is so minimal that the decision of when to catch the ball or let it drop and having sure hands is as important as the return abilities. Moss would do fine.

The fact that our former returner was a legitimate candidate for MVP for the team is more of a statement of how bad the team was than anything else. ;)

Moss was also quite dynamic as a returner at one point. When he was much younger at least. He has the short area burst of speed still.

It could be, Lavar Arrington was talking about it on his show as if it our former player. So I was going off what he said.
