He plays hockey for a living- He's one tough SOB. Maybe his bloody sock will be in the hockey HOF one day ala Curt Schilling.

I read in the papers that his skate had slashed laces where Subban stepped on it. Maybe that would suffice for a proper piece of nostalgia?

He plays hockey for a living- He's one tough SOB.

Like when Brendan Witt got hit by a truck last year.
The driver said "Oh my god, should we call an ambulance?"
Witt replied "No, that's OK, I'm a hockey player".

*puts on athletic trainer hat*

although i don't know the extent of his procedure, for any athlete to come back from even minor invasive surgery so quickly=he's one tough SOB. according to bob mack the surgery was to re-attach a sliced tendon on the top of his foot (bob said it attached to a toe). this is something which isn't too debilitating to a hockey player, other than working through some swelling and soreness. it was probably his extensors, so it may slow him down as far as breakaway speed goes, but it really wasn't too incredibly severe of an injury.

sounds like it does not hinder his mobility and he just has to fight through the pain. kind of like the bone carter broke in his foot earlier. it sounds painful either way though.

I remember what that happened. You made a post on the swamp not long afterwards about it. Are you all the way back now on recovery?

Thanks for asking....I still have 1 more surgery scheduled....May 15 will be 2 years since the accident....I've had 23 hours of reconstructive surgery on my face so far...including the first 12 hour surgery where they peeled my face down...now who's a tough SOB? :D
