We'll need a running game to keep the Eagles defense honest and help reduce the pressure that will otherwise be levied against Mitch. And I like that both Howard and Cohen were running up the gut - think having Kyle back on the line made a difference, as most of those successful runs were on his side of the line.

Would have been cool to see him hit 1,000 yards after the way he started. 935 was still a respectable finish. He nearly pulled it off.

I think Nagy is an evil genius. I think this season was scripted by him. Use and establish the lightning bolt of Cohen, right off the bat during the warmer months, and conserve the wrecking ball that is Howard for when it matters, and for when teams are already beat up.

Howard looks like he's as fresh as a summer peach. I guarantee you, after 16 weeks of football, not many defenders enjoy squaring up against a fresh Howard.

And Cohen is the energizer bunny, so he'll be good-to-go too.


This is exactly what you wanna see out of these two back and our offense.

Whatever the Bears did to help Howard become more productive they can keep on doing it. That team, with its sick defense, effective running game, and efficient Trubs, will be a tough out in the playoffs.

Wow, I had no idea that Nagy switched out the line's blocking scheme. I know one thing, like richi said, Howard has been on a tear of late. If this is indeed due to the changed blocking scheme, by all means Coach, please keep on keeping on with that change!!!

Thanks for the link quick, which backs what you originally posted. I'm so glad Nagy & staff showed the flexibility and were able to adjust. I'm of the firm belief that you have to be able to run the ball in the playoffs. It helps all other phases of the game, such as eating up the clock, which in turn helps keep our defense fresher, holding the opponent's pass rush at bay, and allowing the line to push forward vs backing up when having to pass protect. The positives simply cascade when the running game is working.
