"Promise" is guess is a fair point, but 8 completions is probably not going to win too often even if you hit 2 of them for 6.

That said...most impressive was he didn't turn the ball over even though he put it on the ground again. If he can play that way every week...the Browns can win 8 or 9 games with that DEF.

As stated above, he threw ZERO interceptions. I think that is the most important stat (IMO) for a QB.

That's what I got out of it too. Their defense overwhelmed the Titans and the early lead let them go into conservative mode so Johnny only had to throw 15 passes. BUT, he didn't throw a pick, which he has been really bad about in the past. Definitely showing some signs of improvement.

He will be back to #2 this next week, assuming McCown is back from his concussion protocol.

If they can just get decent QB play, they should be a difficult team each week with their DEF.
