That documentary was great.

I started watching football in the late '80s and him and Summerall were the voices of Sunday. I didn't do the church thing, John and Pat took me there.

I came in to fandom in 2003 when i was 18 but I like to Look back at History and Classic games.

He was Football

He never stopped being Coach Madden to me as a fan of 70’s football. And after watching “All Madden” last week, I got the sense he never stopped being Coach to himself. Legend doesn’t begin to do him proper justice. He changed the game in ways no one could have foreseen.

RIP Coach…

I play in a $100 buy in fantasy hockey league.

I can't find someone to compare him too with Hockey...
Don Cherry and Ron MacLean are about the only two close.

But no one will ever be able to replace Madden's CPT Obvious comments.

RIP

Dammit. Hell of a legend. He was something else. Quite an original. Hall of Fame coach to a Hall of Fame broadcaster (IMO) to the Madden game. Among the biggest influences in the history of football...period. I grew up with he and Pat Summerall calling games. That was a golden era. I was lucky to be around at that time.

I just watched 'All Madden' yesterday that they showed on Christmas Day. It was fascinating.

His Hall-of-Fame speech is legendary. Telling us that he thinks at night the busts in the Hall-of-Fame talk to each other. That is GREAT. I agree. I believe they do as well. Rest in peace, Coach.

BOOM!

Madden and Pat were the GOAT announcing duo. After that it was Madden and Al Michaels.

How i found out on a what's app chat ($ 100 fantasy league) was a Girl who doesn't follow football, 3 of us do,

BUT SHE KNEW WHO HE WAS......................

That speaks to his impact on Sports culture

I think you are thinking of the Patriots/Rams.

No no no no.

Those 2 fine Gentleman are in Heaven doing Commentary for this game with the game on mute.

Someone needs to find a way to stream this.

Next one should be the 2013 NFC Championship............. (Packers/Seahawks)
