Sounds more like a dehydration +/or exhaustion/fatigue issue to me....not a heart attack.
But whatever it is, it needs to be monitored. Hope he'll be okay.

When your as rich as him and you get light headed you go to the hospital and have 8K worth of tests done.

Average Joe's like me with an HMO and a $100 emergency room co-pay go sit down in the Air-conditioned clubhouse, have another beer and call it a day.

Sounds like surgery now.

Reading about him being gone 4-6 weeks following the procedure.

Gonna be interesting to see how we rally.

Go Broncos!

Get better Fox. Looks like he is gone for a while. So now who becomes the new head coach? Del Rio?

You would think it would be Del Rio considering he has been a HC before in Jax.

He is the obvious choice but another guy that could get the nod would be studesville who is the running back coach and coached the broncos on an interim basis before so then del rio can just focus on coaching the defense

Just heard this morning about Fox needing surgery to repair a tear in his aortic valve. More serious than first reported.

Prayers for him and his family. Get well soon Coach, speedy recovery.

Even though Studesville was the interim coach when they fired McDaniels, I seriously doubt they make him interim coach over Del Rio.

Heck, Del Rio has almost as much HC experience as Fox does.

This has really been a weird season so far. All around the league.

Wishing the best for coach Fox. Hope he makes a full and fast recovery. In the interim, I think Del Rio will do fine and hopefully the players rally and use this as extra motivation to go out and win for coach.

From the Denver Post-

Broncos media relations director Patrick Smyth got an update Tuesday regarding the progress of coach John Fox, who underwent aortic valve replacement surgery Monday.

A day after open-heart surgery, Fox was already out of his hospital bed.

“Coach Fox is doing well,” Smyth said. “Everything is on track. He’s obviously getting plenty of rest. But the hospital staff was able to get him out of bed and walk him around a bit today.”

After listing to Dr. Eric Skipper, who heads the cardiology team that performed the heart surgery on Fox, during a conference call Monday, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Broncos coach begins to ease his way back to Broncos headquarters in two or three weeks.

Initially, Fox may spend a couple hours at the office one week. Maybe go in two or three days the next week while watching a game or two from the press box.

The first day into Fox’s recovery was encouraging but it’s still only one day. Until Fox returns, Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio will also serve as interim head coach.

That is encouraging. Hopefully no setbacks and wish him a speedy recovery.
