Thanks for reminding all the Spurs fans up in arms. This is what people don't understand about Crawford. He isn't bias towards one specific team, he's bias towards himself. He doesn't care what team wins, only that he's seen calling fouls. And he'll damn sure call fouls and will liberally toss techs anyone's way. What's frustrating is the fouls he calls are technically correct, which is why he grades out so high by the league. But the problem is there's a rulebook violation on damn near every play in basketball. It's like holding in football. Most all good refs let the little stuff go because they have sense enough to know that if you called literally every violation, we'd watch teams shoot 100 FTs and everyone would foul out. Not Joey though. Any shot he can get to blow his whistle, especially on a TV game, he's doing it while jogging out to center court to be seen.
