Haden has broken his fibula, and will be out indefinitely. There is a very strong chance given the injury that Haden will not play again this season, and the Steelers will need to adjust their cornerback rotation accordingly
Hopefully he can be back for the playoffs and be back at full speed at that. We will need him. Especially since it seems more and more likely we will be going as far as the defense will take us with Ben's continued struggles. Guy still doesn't look right. Maybe our worst fears are realized and Ben "has" actually lost it.
Ugh.
You think Sutton can contribute this year, meaningfully? He's a rookie that has virtually no practice time. I think they'll bring him off of IR and add him to the roster but I'm not so sure he'll see the field. Or rather, I don't think the plan would be to show him the field. A lot can still happen, knock on wood.Haden...agreed...the more info that comes out, the less it seems like a season loss. Hopefully it pans out that way...interesting to see if Burns will now play more up on the WRs or will both CBs play 10+ yds off. I wanted to see what Sutton could bring...I think there's a good shot he will come off IR.
OFC...some of it is Ben, maybe not as frequent, but he can still make the throws, but obviously not as mobile. but more of it is Haley. Were there ANY plays they ran yesterday that we haven't seen before? Now I would need to watch the DVR again to be certain, but off hand I would say no. The only thing I saw creative...they ran a different play out of the same formation they showed previously and I think it caught IND off guard...the TD to McD. Previously they ran Bell from that same formation in a similar spot on the field. The Steelers OFC has to be one of the easier ones to prep for.
I don't recall any no huddle....I was thinking...okay, you had a week to self scout, add wrinkles, etc...maybe you didn't want to show that to NE or BAL this week. I hold out hope there is more, but reality tells me this is what they are.

I'm really starting to fall into the anti-Haley camp. I never was before but it's becoming more and more of an issue. I would REALLY like to know why we can't run the no-huddle since that seems to be where Ben is at his best. Jackasses! All of em!
Serious Week 10 Notes on Limas:
Kid has game and is adjusting to the NFL way faster than I thought possible. I'm still not seeing the separation but it's not the issue I thought it would be.
That and he's genuinely a happy guy and is clearly having fun. Dude is creating is legend.I'm not sure what more you want on separation for a guy with his skill set...he's getting open.
We know you're having some fun with Limas...lol Admittedly I wasn't a fan of the pick, but this kid is refreshing to watch...Juju has the potential (appears humble, well spoken, catchy name) to be a big brand in the NFL.

He was an absolute steal.
Not only is he far and away the most productive rookie WR out there. And he's also currently the #23 overall WR in the league in yardage, and tied for #8 in TDs.Yep...in terms of early production, he's killing his draft slot for sure.
The guy I wanted...Duke Riley was playing pretty good for ATL, but ended up on IR...Colbert got the right guy.
I vote for you as our new OC.That doesn't mean you can run it, but imo you should run it and not give MB the ball, do something else out of the formation...and you observe...how did they defend it....who did what? Maybe you come back with that play later in the game with some history. The long and short, you run plays to set up other plays, and there nothing preceding that play to set it up so they got exactly what they were expecting on tape.
Well, that's kind of my point. I think I misjudged his skill set and how it would translate. I think this might be why I work in electrical engineering rather than player scouting. And yeah, the whole "Limas" thing is absolute fun and in no way an actual insult. I kind of look forward to calling him Limas one day while he leads the league haha.I'm not sure what more you want on separation for a guy with his skill set...he's getting open.

I'd vote for blind ball boy pressing random buttons in Madden to choose plays over Haley.I vote for you as our new OC.
Just sayin.
