Well that was a pretty quick decision.
I just wrote a blog on that
Thanks for the so so memories Joe
Steinbrenner changed managers 21 times in 19 years before Buck so he wasn't exactly balanced when it came to managers
Trey Hillman?
Why did they let him go ? He's a good manager, and he has that team going in the right direction for sure...
it does seem crazy being he got a team no one expected to a game within the WS, BUT, you don't have a guy who hit 51 dingers in the 2 slot, and you don't have position players to fill in as your DH, and in the 9 slot! he ruined ellsbury, and even a freekin broken clock is right twice a day with his choice of headley!
he had holiday a seasoned veteran, the only formidable DH, rotting away on bench.
his time was up.. the players are too good for his way of managing!

Oh, you're one of those peopleStans facebook page
That's Tim Naehring right? Former Red Sox 3rd basemanJay Bell, the former Pirate is a highly thought of Yankee manager in High Class A

Tom Naehring, Cashmans' right hand man in the front office, has never managed
Al Pedrique, AAA manager who has a great relationship with all the young guys on the roster
Eric Chavez, sleeper candidate people think will be a great manager, worked as a Cashman assistant, now with the Angels
Jason Giambi, wants to manage, and people think he would be great at it, but no experience
Raul Ibanez, another guy always seen as a future manager, now a special assistant with teh Dodgers
Robbie Thompson, Joe Espada, Tony Pena
Bunch of names Im hearing
