Ritari.. might have had something to do with the system and short term to learn it I guess, because his defensive game was quite solid last year on Carolina before going to Washington. Much better than previous years. Not going to win a Norris.. no... but pretty solid.

Was starting to wonder if it was just going to be Pitkanen and a bunch of kids this season on the back end.
Not exactly a defensive stalwart, but solid. And the puck moving kind of guy that Rutherford like a lot.

Makes sense, because if he was just as bad in CAR, they wouldn't have traded for him in the first place.

I don't think he was a great fit in Washington, but I think this was a decent signing. Not too pricey and Corvo has some value.
