Schwartzy would have stomped a fuckin mudpuddle in Harbaugh's face and Harbaugh knew it. You could see that "Oh shit, he's not buying my act and I'm about to get my ass kicked." written all over his face.

Former LB vs former QB, my money is on the LB every time.

Look at the eyes of that maniac in post #2

He'd probably pull out a sharpened toothbrush and shank Schwartz in the ribs a few times

He has no case if the QB is holding onto the ball he should be able to be hit. What is the defender suppose to do wait until the QB makes up his mind what he wants to do with the ball.

The only time Kap got hit after a handoff, he was only pushed and shoved. Not once do I remember ever seeing any of these dual threats get hit right after handing it off in a RO. What does happen from time to time is that these QBs do continue with the fake (as I've seen Russell do a couple of times) but really, I've only see him do it when there's noone in front of him. What most of them do is back up immediately after the handoff so they don't get hit head on.

But I'm happy that Matthews made the comment and Harbaugh addressed the issue. The officials and the NFL should have brought it up a long time ago and not within days (or hours) of the season opener.

Are you F'n kidding me? As soon as Harbaugh got right back in Schwartz face, Schwartz couldn't even look Harbaugh straight in the face.

Same old bark and no bite chicken shit I see all the time.

I noticed RGIII last year would fake the run then stop and put his hands up to show he didn't have the ball on occasion to avoid being hit. I think once a QB does that he should be protected.

Fair enough. If the QB puts up his hands to indicates he's out of the play, then he's out of the play until whistle blows. If he hands off, puts up his arms and then, out of his peripheral vision, sees a LB coming at the RB full speed, he can't make a block. Or if the RB manages to gain 30 or 40 yards and ends up fumbling, if the QB is the only person between the defensive player and the end zone, he has to just watch him go by. After all, if the defenders are no longer able to hit him, he will no longer be able to hit them. And there should be no temporary "safesies" or "timesies" or whatever you want to call them.

Ummm. No.

didn't you see the way Harbaugh manhandled him at the handshake? Schwartz didn't like getting manhandled and then threw a tantrum which really ended up making him look like a buffoon. I agree what Harbaugh did to him was messed up. But Schwartz got manhandled then acted like a 2 year old.

disagree, once the ball changes hands... everything resets including roles for every player.

Great Head Coach. Maybe the huge salary bump announced before the game had him distracted?

Or maybe the electric storm was God's way of saying there is a butt whooping on the way?

:)
