Shots were nearly 2-1 in Detroit's favor for awhile...now all tied up at 20 apiece.

I'm pretty sure that Pens loss is what caused my downward spiral, health-wise.

And my condition was further worsened by Michigan going down 6-1 to Minny in college hockey soon thereafter. I don't even know what the final score was, I changed the channel before it gave me pneumonia.

As far as Big Blue losing to the Gophers go, it seemed to be a one-man show - the Blue Jackets draft pick not only lit up the lamp but also lit up the wire service. I watch a lot of college hockey and, any one can win any game, except when playing a few specific teams (Minnesota State - Mankato, North Dakota, or BU). I haven't seen so much parity among the ranks of college hockey teams in quite some time.

Yea I've been trying to follow UM and MSU hockey the last few weeks since it's on TV more. What you say appears to be true - anyone can beat anybody on a given day.

The Spartans won their game tonight 3-2 vs Penn St. and the U of M - Minn game is tied right now (mid- 2nd period), 1-1. But, surprisingly, BU was beaten 4-3 by New Hampshire U. this afternoon and MSU - Mankato was tied by U. of Alaska 1-1 tonight.
