Lester more consistant you know he will give up 5-7 hits and under 20 homers a year. Shields is kind of inconsistant he will give up like 6 earn runs one game than the next game give up 0 on 4 hits kind of inconsistant. But I would love him as our number 2 guy and Lester is a lefty...... Two of our top rotation guys being leftys wouldnt be good in a playoff series.

The Red Sox apparently offered Lester between 110-120 million for six years. Diamondbacks need to beat that. I would give him 6 years 150 million. You do that, and him with another awesome pitcher plus Goldschmidt is a world series contender every year. With the going market for elite pitchers now, 25 million a year is what it costs. Do something to trade Ross, Cahill, and maybe Montero to free up salary and make it happen. Make the Diamondbacks relevant again.
